Acoustic Absorbing Panels for Bude-Stratton Council at the Parkhouse Centre

The Parkhouse Centre in Bude contacted ISS to resolve echo and reverberation issues within one of its function halls, which were impacting how the space was used and enjoyed by visitors.

As the home of the Bude-Stratton Town Council offices and a busy multi-purpose community facility, the centre requires high-quality acoustics to support meetings, events, and daily community use.

Project Overview

Following an initial enquiry, the ISS team carried out a free on-site acoustic consultation to assess the hall and identify the most effective solution to improve speech clarity and reduce excessive noise. Based on this assessment, a bespoke acoustic design was developed and approved.

Our workshop then manufactured custom fabric-wrapped acoustic panels, designed specifically to integrate with the existing ceiling raft system. The panels were installed earlier this month by the ISS installation team, delivering an immediate reduction in reverberation and a significant improvement in overall sound quality.

The completed project has transformed the acoustic environment, enhancing comfort and usability for both council staff and the wider community.
