The Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School
Client: RPG Europe
Sector: Education
Description of works:
BH&M Architects aspired to create a visually captivating and acoustically superior centerpiece for the prestigious Haberdashers Askes Boys School in Elstree. The original concept featured large circular elements, traditionally achieved through suspended ceiling or plasterboard rafts, which posed weight and aesthetic challenges.
Architect John Amann consulted with Acoustic GRG and ISS Acoustic, leading to a groundbreaking solution—Clipso. The rafts, fashioned from wide-format Clipso fabrics and aluminum frames, seamlessly formed large circles. Varying fabric widths were suspended at precise heights, preserving the architect's vision while delivering a cost-effective, lightweight, high-performance panel system. Our skilled team brought this innovative concept to life,
