Drylining & Interior Refurbishment forConiston Medical Centre, Bristol
ISS Acoustic & Interiors has been working alongside main contractor Melhuish & Saunders on the expansion of Coniston Medical Practice in Patchway, Bristol, delivering specialist interior fit-out works as part of a new extension designed to increase local healthcare capacity.
Project Overview
Our scope of works has included internal linings and partitions, metal framed systems (MFS), intumescent fire batts and fire protection, plastering, and floor, wall and ceiling finishes. We have also undertaken the preparation of existing surfaces, tape and filling, ceiling skimming, and the installation of suspended grid ceiling systems incorporating Ecophon Meditec hygiene ceiling solutions.
The expansion forms part of a wider investment in local healthcare provision, supported by £916,566 in NHS England Utilisation and Modernisation Funding and £468,000 through Section 106 funding associated with the Filton Airfield housing development. The project will provide eight additional consulting rooms, bringing the practice's total to 17 and creating capacity for an estimated 24,960 additional appointments each year. Through our contribution to the internal fit-out, ISS Acoustic & Interiors is helping deliver the clinical spaces needed to support a growing local community.

Linings & Partitions: Installation of internal lining and partition systems to form the new clinical spaces.
Metal Framed Systems (MFS): Installation of metal framing systems as part of the internal fit-out.
Fire Protection: Installation of intumescent fire batts and associated fire protection measures.
Plastering & Surface Preparation: Plastering existing surfaces, alongside tape and filling and skimming of ceilings.
Floor, Wall & Ceiling Finishes: Delivery of the specified internal finishes throughout the project.
Suspended Ceilings: Installation of a full suspended grid ceiling system, incorporating specified solutions including Ecophon and Meditec hygiene ceiling systems.
